Original Story:

If you’ve been wanting to snag an SNES Classic Edition for yourself, but haven’t been able to since the official announcement, now’s your chance. Best Buy’s official website has just opened up pre-orders for Nintendo’s new collectable console, and it’s priced at $79.99.

Do note that it’s the US version of the console, and not the UK/Japan Famicom version. So if you’re looking for the Famicom one, you’re out of luck. Still, considering how quickly these pre-orders sell out, you might want to get yours in while they’re still open. Nintendo has also stated that this is a holiday item, meaning they won’t be mass producing these after a certain period of time.

The SNES Classic Edition will come packed with 21 games including Final Fantasy VI, Earthbound, and Super Mario RPG. It’ll be compatible with your old SNES controllers as well, and it’s easy to set up and hook up to your television set.

The SNES Classic Edition is set to be officially launched on September 29. You can pre-order them from Best Buy here.
