Later than we hoped.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tequila Works puzzle game RiME have been out for some time, but it won’t come to Nintendo Switch until much later this year. RiME will finally launch on Nintendo’s console on November 14th in North America. The European release comes a little later on the 17th.
The game will cost $29.99 / €34.99 / £29.99. on the eShop, with a special physical edition priced $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99. The physical edition includes the full game, a download code and the original score.
In a press release, Raúl Rubio Munárriz, CEO and creative director of Tequila Works stated his admiration for the Nintendo brand and his excitement in bringing the title to the Switch:
“As big fans of Nintendo, we truly appreciate our fans’ patience as Tantalus and Tequila Works continue working on RiME on Nintendo Switch; we are all committed to making sure all players get the high-quality experience they deserve.”
Tequilla Works had planned to have RiME on Switch sooner, but NeoGaf member and RiME community manager Darlious stated they “wanted to make sure we made the experience the same across all platforms.”
Twinfinite’s Chris Jecks reviewed RiME on PS4 back in May, scoring it 3/5. He praised some of the unique ideas behind the game’s puzzles but lamented the mundaneness of their execution.
