Pokken Tournament DX Gets a Demo on August 23

Who’s your main?

Pokken Tournament is a satisfying and exciting fighter that originally debuted on the Wii U. It’s getting a new lease on life as Pokken Tournament DX on the Nintendo Switch, and you can try it out for yourself when a demo lands on the eShop tomorrow. The demo will be available for download on August 23 at 9 PM PT/12 AM ET, Nintendo just announced.

The fighter includes 21 different Pokemon, with several souped-up modes you can pummel the competition with as you rise through the ranks of other Pokemon trainers with fighting-fit Pokemon. You might find that you totally own with one Pokemon that’s way different from your favorite, as that’s what happened to me — go Braixen — or you might decide you want to stick with the shockingly adorable Pikachu.

Pokken Tournament DX is coming out for Nintendo Switch on September 22, so you should have about a month with the demo to wipe the floor with the competition when the game goes live in September.
