Two new games are available on Xbox One backward compatibility as of today, announced Major Nelson. The over the top action title Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the roller coaster themed title Screamride both make their way to the system. Like past backward compatible titles, Metal Gear Rising can be downloaded digitally from the store or played with the original Xbox 360 disc.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a spinoff of the Metal Gear series, this time developed by the action masters over at Platinum Games. For the first time you get to play as Raiden four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4, as he confronts a PMC (Private Military Corporation) known as Desperado Enforcement. Metal Gear Rising has much more of an action focus than other games in the series, even letting you use a unique “Blade Mode” to fine tune the swings of Raiden’s sword in combat.
Screamride on the other hand is a puzzle game based entirely around constructing futuristic roller coasters. Across more than 50 levels you’ll need to piece together construction of a track, using limited resources and finding the right route for it to go, in order to make a complete ride.
Both games can now be played on Xbox One, as well as Xbox 360.
Do you remember those Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3 remasters we said might come to Steam?...
