Changing Characters and Party Members in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Recommended Videos

As you progress through the different worlds in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, you’ll unlock more characters in your roster. They all come with their own special techniques as well, so you’ll probably want to change your party around every now and then to see which characters best suit your play style.

You can only have three characters in your party at any time. To swap out characters, simply press the X button to bring up the Battle HQ menu, and select the Team Selection option. From here, you’ll see all of the characters currently available to you, and you can choose the ones you want in your team.

While you can’t change your party formation when you’re already in combat, you can still swap between your three characters at any point in time during your turn. To do this, press the L and R buttons to rotate between them. The game will automatically put you in control of another character once you’ve already exhausted all options on one of them.
