Showcasing sub-quests, characters and environments, fan favorites like Ursula Callistis, Miranda Holbrooke, Anne Finnelan, Nelson, Pisces, Samantha Badcock, Anna England, Barbara Parker and even the Luna Nova News Network are all set to make appearances, each able to give protagonist Akko missions to do within the game. Of course, Akko’s best friends Lotte and Sucy will join as well, the former of which can help in discovering hidden clues by talking to spirits within objects and the latter of which Akko must help grow mushrooms.

Additionally, aside from settings like the cafeteria, courtyard, Luna Nova Tower, botanical garden, auditorium, classroom and student council room, fans of Little Witch Academia will be able to explore areas that haven’t yet appeared in the anime. Namely, players will be treated to the Shaula Desert, a stage which the publisher calls “a never-ending desert road in the scorching heat of the sunlight.” The level will feature a boss battle against an ant queen, the likes of which is said to produce “thousands of eggs at once”, all protected constantly by fierce enemies.

From the looks of the screenshots found below, the game is doing a great job of recreating the anime’s world in-game. Fans of Little Witch Academia’s anime will be glad to know that the lore from which the show builds itself on is the same as the game itself, the latter of which only adding new elements that have so far been previously unseen.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time releases exclusively for PlayStation 4 in Japan on November 30. The game will release on PlayStation 4 and PC when it comes to North America and Europe in early 2018.
