Four more characters added too.
Capcom has released a third story trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite today, along with confirming the game’s various modes and four more characters to the roster.
The basic premise is that Ultron, from the Marvel universe, and Sigma, from Capcom’s Mega Man X, used two Infinity Stones to form a single being and combine the two universes together to rule over. Meanwhile, Darkstalkers’ Jedah leads the villains with the Symbiote virus to fight the heroes who reluctantly team up with Thanos to find the remaining Infinity Stones. Check out all the action in the trailer below.
One detail to take away from the trailer is Chun-Li’s face has been remodeled since the last story trailer released in June. The community was so critical of how she looked compared to previous Street Fighter entries that Capcom promised it would make improvements.
Additionally, the company announced in a press release that Dormammu, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, and Jedah will be playable characters. Offline modes for the game include Story, Arcade, Mission, Training, Vs. Player 2/CPU, and Collection which contains Story mode cut scenes and other extras. Online modes include Ranked and Casual matches, a Beginners League for players ranked 14 and lower, an eight player lobby for simultaneous player-vs-player matches, rankings, and replay settings.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launches Sept. 19 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
