Welcome to the world of 1920+.
King Art Games’ Iron Harvest was originally announced back in 2016, but now we’re finally getting a look at the real-time strategy game along with a trailer.
The game takes place after World War 1 in an alternate reality where an enormous field of weapons, bullets, unexploded missiles and whatnot were found by farmers in their fields. The event came to be known as the Iron Harvest, and eventually mankind began to create their own “walking machines.”
There are several different factions working for dominance across Europe, including the Saxony Empire and the Polania Republic, as well as Rusviet, headed by Grigori Rasputin while revolution is up in the air.
It looks like an intriguing vision of an alternate future, with plenty of different machines to take control of and factions to follow. It’s not scheduled for release until 2019, but when it launches it will debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can get your first look at it in the trailer below.
