Age of Empires: Definitive Edition Gets an October Release Date and New Trailer


Microsoft had quite a bit of news to share for the Age of Empires franchise at Gamescom 2017, including an official release date for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. The remastered classic will launch on October 19 for PC. If that’s not enough, Microsoft also announced that they’ll be working on Definitive Editions for both Age of Empires II and III.

The Definitive Edition of the game updates the classic RTS with brand new 4K graphics, an increased population cap, expanded UI, and an orchestrated soundtrack. A new trailer was release for the title today showing off some of these enhancements, and how hectic some of these larger battles can become with an increased population limit.
