Nintendo won’t keep European fans waiting anymore
Nintendo of Europe has confirmed a release window for Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters and it’s the kind of news European fans have been waiting for. In the past, Yo-kai Watch games have released in Europe months after they already were released in America. While these regions are no strangers to having different release windows, it seemed a bit odd considering the fact that the games have performed much better in the European market than in the U.S. Well, the tides aren’t necessarily turning but it does look like European fans of the series won’t have to wait and be teased by whatever content leaks across the pond. Nintendo of Europe announced that Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters will come to the 3DS family this fall, which places it in the same release window as the game’s anticipated U.S. release.
Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the third version of Yo-kai Watch 2 to be released. The game is promised to bring back all the content from the previous titles, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, while also introducing new content specifically for the new release. That new content includes new locations, brand new quests, an expanded version of the Yo-kai Blaster’s co-op mode and the chance to befriend a total of 15 Wicked Yo-kai that were only available as enemies in previous games. If you already own the two previous games, there is even an added incentive to coax you into completing the collection. Nintendo promises there will be “exclusive dungeons” that are only available to players who have save data from one or both of the previous titles.
Psychic Specters had a successful run in Japan after its initial release in 2014. The game has sold 2.6 million copies in the region so far.
