Splatoon 2: How to Post Online Display Messages

Let your creativity flow.

Posting Online Display Messages in Splatoon 2

Recommended Videos

The original Splatoon allowed you to post online messages and artwork via Miiverse, and Splatoon 2 lets you do just that as well. Before anything, though, you’ll need to connect your Switch to a social media account (either Twitter or Facebook), or you won’t be able to post anything online.

Once you get that sorted out, go to the red mailbox in Inkopolis square. It’s located right next to the weapons shop near the online lobby. Interact with it, and you’ll be allowed to draw or write anything in the blank space provided. For easier drawing, you can undock the Switch and use a stylus to draw on the Switch instead of using the analog sticks on your Joy-Cons or pro controller. Once your message is complete, press the + button to post it to social media. Your avatar will then start appearing in other players’ games with your personalized message. Remember not to post anything too offensive or rude, though.

More About Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is the follow-up to Splatoon, the inky shooter game released on the Wii U two years ago. Take control of a kid, splat your enemies with ink, and transform into a squid whenever you feel like it.
