Attack and roll.
Bandai Namco showed off some new gameplay footage of their upcoming action RPG, Code Vein, at Anime Expo this year. The video is fairly short, but gives us a good idea of what combat will look like in the full game. You can check out the new footage down below.
We didn’t get a glimpse of the game’s HUD and UI, but it looks a lot like the game will be making use of a stamina system where the player character consumes stamina with every action taken, thus limiting the number of moves they can make in one go. The environments are looking pretty crisp as well, and enemy movements are methodical.
Code Vein takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has fallen into ruin, and the surviving humans have resorted to consuming blood in order to stay alive. However, that’s caused them to start to gain monstrous powers and slowly transform into more superhuman beings as well.
Code Vein is set to be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
