Jake Hunter Detective Story: Ghost of the Dusk for 3DS Is Coming to the West

Aksys Games is on a roll with bringing games to the west.

During Anime Expo 2017, Aksys Games announced that Jake Hunter Detective Story: Ghost of the Dusk will be coming to North America in 2018 for the Nintendo 3DS; the game releases in Japan on August 3, 2017.

Jake Hunter is a visual novel and mystery series that has been around in Japan for about 30 years now. Out of all of the games in the franchise that have released, only one has seen a release outside of Japan and that was Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles – which came out for the DS and marked the 20th anniversary of the crime-solving series.

There hasn’t been a new Jake Hunter title in 5 years, so this announcement of the game coming stateside is most definitely a fine treat for 3DS owners who long for a visual novel on-the-go that is in the vain of Ace Attorney and other crime dramas.

Look out for Jake Hunter Detective Story: Ghost of the Dusk sometime next year.
