Gigantic Finally Hits Steam, Windows 10, and Xbox One Today Alongside a New Hero and Launch Trailer

It has been a long road, but it's happening finally.
Gigantic

Gigantic, the long awaited MOBA from Motiga, finally made it to its release day on Steam, Windows 10, and Xbox One after a long and tumultuous development. Substantial layoffs throughout the Gigantic’s development scared many observers into thinking the game was in trouble of never reaching this point, but luckily for fans and the team over at Motiga, they made it.  Gamasutra recently conducted a very interesting interview with lead designer Carter McBee and lead concept Vinod Rams. A great place to start if you’re interested in learning more about what happened over there and how they pulled through.

There’s still the hurdle of standing out in what’s becoming an increasingly crowded MOBA market, but let’s celebrate today shall we? Check out the official launch trailer below to get a sense if Gigantic is something that is up your alley. I haven’t kept up with Gigantic recently personally, but when I checked it out at PAX East a few years ago, I remember being impressed with how varied each hero’s play style was and how it incorporated gameplay reminiscent of other genres into a MOBA foundation.

The launch of the game also includes a new hero, Ramsay, who is described as a “cunning melee fighter brandishing a lethal blade.” If MOBAs are your cup of tea, or you’re just looking for something new to play, Gigantic is free to play and available today on Steam, Windows 10, and Xbox One marketplaces.
