Citadel Forged with Fire: Can You Fix Fatal Error Issues?

Can You Fix Fatal Error Issues in Citadel: Forged with Fire?

Citadel: Forged with Fire is finally available over on Steam in early access. The game places players into the shoes of a new apprentice of the magical arts as they set off to the dangerous world known as Ignus. You’ll have to tame creatures, explore dangerous terrain, band together with allies and fight for domination of the land. Unfortunately, though, a ton of players seem to be suffering from a fatal error issue whenever they try and join a server or hit a loading screen.

It turns out that this seems to have something to do with server load. While the developers have since put out a hotfix patch that aims to fix up the fatal error problem, some players are still being greeted with the error message. In order to try and avoid the fatal error issue in Citadel: Forged with Fire, first make sure that you have the latest hotfix installed from July 26.

Once you’ve done that, make sure you’re letting the entire server list load completely before proceeding. If you’re facing the fatal error issue in Citadel: Forged with Fire when in-game, this could be something missed by the hotfix.

At this point, with Citadel: Forged with Fire having only recently released, it’s just a case of waiting and hoping that the development team can get a more substantial fix out in the near future. You can help them out by providing details of your problems over on the Steam forums.
