Twitch Prime Members Get a Golden Loot Box in Overwatch This Month

It might be a good time to invest in a Twitch Prime membership.

If you’ve got Amazon Prime, it might be a good time to link up with Twitch.tv. Twitch Prime members can get themselves some free Overwatch loot this month, in the form of a brand new Golden Loot Box which guarantees them at least one legendary item. This is the first time we’ve seen a loot box of this sort, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they were soon to become purchasable via the store. This isn’t all you get with the promotion, either – in August and October, you’ll be able to collect five free loot boxes for each month.

Twitch Prime has proven to be invaluable to those who frequent the streaming site, giving players free content in games like Smite, and even sometimes giving away full games as a bonus. You also get a free subscription to any streamer of your choice (we say free, but you’re still paying for Amazon/Twitch prime). For the many who already owned Amazon Prime before this integration happened, Twitch Prime is a really nice bonus that nobody really expected.

A few weeks back, a keen eye on Reddit data-mined the golden loot box, leading many to think it was either going to be for the next event, or for something similar to what has been shown. Nontheless, seeing integration like this between Blizzard and Twitch is always nice, and a free legendary item for current owners of Twitch Prime is even nicer. You can check out the page promoting the loot box (and collect your code if you’ve already got Twitch Prime) by heading this way.
