Microsoft’s The Last Night Reveal Is a Neon-Tinged Cyberpunk Fever Dream

Super stylish!

During Microsoft’s E3 conference today, The Last Night was revealed as an Xbox Console Launch Exclusive. While we didn’t get to see too much of the game, we did get a look at its pretty unique visual style.

The Last Night is a 2.5D cinematic game that’s set in a post-cyberpunk world and is inspired by the likes of Blade Runner, which can definitely be seen in its visuals. It’s in development over at Odd Tales and directed by Tim Soret. The trailer showed off the game’s futuristic setting, all dressed up with a retro, blocky visual style. It looks quite a bit like Blade Runner if you ask us.

Apparently, the game offers up a blend of action and infiltration that will see players flying drones, hacking androids you spot around the world, and trying to remain undetected in its four futuristic districts.

The Last Night is due to launch on the Xbox One and PC in 2018.
