Square Enix Announces Partnership with People Can Fly for New Game

Square Enix, E3 2016

Exciting!

Square Enix is one of the biggest publishers around and owns several huge video game franchises such as Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts, Deus Ex, Thief, and Hitman. Today it has been announced that Square Enix is teaming up with developer People Can Fly to work on a new high-end game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

As reported by GameWatcher, Lee Singleton, Head of Studio at Square Enix London Studios stated: “We’re massively excited to be working with the talented team at PCF in Warsaw, a studio filled with people who really know their craft. We’re building a game we all want to play which will be the perfect addition to our portfolio.”

Sebastian Wojciechowski, Studio Head at People Can Fly added: “It’s an exciting time, we’ve got a great and experienced team in place, and it’s incredible to be working with Square Enix, a world-class publisher who shares our passion and excitement for the project.”

Details on the new title are scarce and supposedly the game will not be revealed at this year’s E3 so it could be some time before we learn more about it. Developer People Can Fly is best known for creating Bulletstorm and aiding development on Gears of War: Judgment. Perhaps the new game will follow suite and be a third-person shooter?
