Are Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Coming to the Nintendo Switch?

Nintendo has finally announced Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon will be released later this year. With a new storyline, Pokemon, and other new features yet to be confirmed, Ultra Sun and Moon will take place in the same Alola region as the titles that released last year. With this in mind, some people are wondering if Nintendo is bringing Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon to the Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, the game’s have been announced exclusively for the 3DS family. Despite the duo of games initially being listed on the game’s official site as coming to the Nintendo Switch at a ‘TBA’ date, Nintendo has since provided the following statement clarifying the error.

“We would like to address rumors based on a clerical error on the Pokemon press site; Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and are not due for release on Nintendo Switch. This listing on the Pokemon press site was made in error and is not indicative of future plans.”

While this will certainly come as disappointing news, at least fans will have Pokken Tournament Deluxe to play this Summer on the Switch.
