Pokemon GO: How to Get Raid Passes

How to Get Raid Passes in Pokemon GO

Recommended Videos

Pokemon GO’s most significant update since its release almost a year ago has finally arrived. The main addition is the new Raid feature that sees trainers take on powerful boss Pokemon alongside other players. If you want to get involved with this new feature, however, you’ll need Raid Passes.

Raids pop up at gyms around the world and you have a set time to defeat the Raid boss and then attempt to catch it. To take part in a Raid, you need to have a Raid Pass, which you can get in two ways.

The first way to get Raid Passes is by spinning the Poke Stop disc at a Gym and hoping for one to drop. Some will give you Raid Passes but it isn’t guaranteed every time. Also, you can only hold one free Raid Pass in your bag at any one time. If you want to have more on hand, you need to use the other method of getting them.

You can also buy Raid Passes from the in-game store for 100 coins each. They give you access to Raids and you can have as many as you like in your bag so that you aren’t short when a Raid pops up near you. This doesn’t stop you from getting the free Raid Passes, however.
