A stealthy deal, if we do say so ourselves.
If you’ve been putting trying out the latest Hitman game out, now’s a great time to jump onboard. The very first episode of the IO Interactive Hitman reboot is now available to play for free.
The first two story missions, Escalation contracts, and 40 challenges are up for grabs for players to test out their skills with. If that’s not enough without purchasing the full game, there are also several player-created missions available in Contracts Mode with 17 achievements and trophies to rack up as well.
When you finish up what’s available for free, you can save all of your progress and bring it over to the full game if you decide to purchase it. Best to go ahead and pick it up now, as it’s currently on sale for up to 60% off depending on which platform you choose.
This is great news, especially after the announcement that IO Interactive has gone independent, having taken full control of the rights to the Hitman property. This announcement came shortly after Square Enix announced its split with the developer. Now it appears the venerable stealth-based series will continue on, possibly spawning new games in the future.
