.hack//G.U. Last Recode Heads West Later This Year on PS4 and PC

Bringing you the .hack//G.U. trilogy once again.

Bandai Namco has announced that .hack//G.U. Last Recode will officially be making its way West in late 2017 on PS4 and PC via Steam. Last Recode completely remasters all three volumes of the G.U. trilogy that includes, .hack//G.U. Vol. 1//Rebirth, hack//G.U. Vol. 2//Reminisce, and hack//G.U. Vol. 3//Redemption.

The remasters will include updated 1080p visuals with 16:9 widescreen picture and 60fps, gameplay balance changes, and even more features Bandai Namco will be announcing later on. Here’s a quick description of the G.U. trilogy, if you’re unfamiliar with the series.


.hack is a multimedia franchise created and developed by famed Japanese developer CyberConnect2. Comprising of video games, anime, novels, and manga, the world of .hack focuses on the mysterious events surrounding a wildly popular in-universe massively multiplayer role-playing game called The World. .hack//G.U. begins after the events of the original .hack series with players assuming the role of Haseo as he tracks down a powerful Player Killer named Tri-Edge who killed his friend’s in-game avatar Shino, and put her in a coma in real life.”

.hack//G.U. Last Recode doesn’t have a firm release date yet, but you can watch the announcement trailer down below.
