Fairly sturdy.

Ever wondered what could possibly happen if you dropped your Nintendo Switch at 1,000 feet in the air? Well, this YouTuber has wondered about it as well, and finally, you’ll get your answer.

They strapped their console to a drone and flew it all the way up in the air, before finally releasing it from a thousand feet above ground. You can check out the video down below.

It looks like the Switch survived the fall, and only one of the Joy-Cons got severely busted. However, the console itself seemed to be largely intact, and you’d still be able to use it if you attached new Joy-Cons to the system. Things probably would’ve been different if it had been dropped face down, as the screen has proven to be rather prone to damage, considering all the reported scratches from repeated docking and undocking.

Still, we can’t recommend that you try to replicate this durability test with your Switch. Nintendo’s console is now available for purchase. If you can find one, that is.
