How to Get Red Mage Artifact Armor & Gear in FFXIV: Stormblood
FFXIV: Stormblood adds two new jobs into the mix, both of the DPS variety. Red Mage, a powerful DPS melee/mage, and the melee-focused Samurai.
If you’re playing as a Red Mage, you might be wondering how you can get your hands on that sweet, sweet, red feathered hat and robe. It’s actually quite easy.
All you need to do to get the initial set of Red Mage artifact armor (or gear if you prefer) is complete the job quest: Taking the Red. It’s quite simple, but if you want a step by step guide, you can view ours here.
Upon completion of that quest, you’ll get a red attire coffer which will contain your first set of artifact armor for the Red Mage. Open up your inventory and use the red attire coffer like you would any consumable item. Provided you have room, your armor will be added to your armory chest and you can equip it right away to give you a decent set of level 50 armor to kick off your leveling in style. It wont’ last you forever (please don’t wear it forever unless it’s glamour) but it’s certainly good enough to get you going.
