Prey Players Have Discovered Yet Another Game-Breaking Duplication Glitch

Just can’t catch a break.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios rolled out a new patch for Prey on PC and consoles last week, and it helped to fix the materials duplication glitch that many players were exploiting. However, it wasn’t long before a Reddit user discovered a workaround.

Apparently, all you have to do this time is split your materials and put them into the Recycler. However, each unit slot has to be less than 1.00. After doing so, save and reload your game. The game will then round up the fractions, and give you one complete unit of material for however many slots you split them into. You can then load them up into the Recycler and collect your bounty.

Now that this method is out in the open, it’s safe to assume that Bethesda will be patching this sooner rather than later, so that it doesn’t completely trivialize the challenge of the game. So… get your materials while you can?

Prey is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
