Splatoon 2 is one of the most anticipated upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch and we can’t wait to return to that crazy, colorful world. As we reported earlier, Nintendo has announced a range of Splatoon 2-themed accessories for the Switch, but did you know you can also buy an empty Splatoon box?
As GameSpot reports, The box appears to be the same box that packages the Splatoon 2 Switch and game but this edition includes neither. The box is currently only available in Japan and is sold for ¥540 (approximately $5).
Nintendo has stated the box is “recommended for Splatoon fans who already have Nintendo Switch.” Presumably there are some hardcore Splatoon fans out there who want this.
Splatoon 2, and the empty box, will both be released on July 21 for the Nintendo Switch. The Switch has already hit the ground running with the help of the excellent launch game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but no doubt Splatoon 2 will attract even more gamers.
