Injustice 2 Story and Endings

After the harrowing opening that allowed fans to relive the early, depressing moments of Superman’s life, Injustice 2 brings players into the future, but not the present day just yet. Injustice: Gods Among Us saw Superman kill the Joker for what he did to Metropolis and what he made the hero do to his wife and unborn child. That moment changed him forever and led him to form the Regime.

The Regime was a group of heroes, and even some villains, that sought to bring justice to the world by any means necessary, even if that meant killing people. It was a huge diversion from how the Justice League used to perform, and this led other heroes, especially Batman, to come up with a means to stop them. He knows that if he brings down Superman, the others will either listen or go into hiding, so he heads straight for Arkham Asylum where his former partner is keeping his own special brand of order.

Krypton’s last son is imposing as he patrols the halls of the asylum with his glowing red eyes, ready to eviscerate anyone who seeks to disrupt how things are. Batman confronts him and a fight ensues, it’s a clash of titans as the two most respected heroes in the world trade blows. Of course, the Dark Knight comes out on top because A) he’s controlled by the player and B) he always finds a way to win, but then things take a turn down an even darker road.

Damian Wayne, who serves as Robin in Injustice 2, steps out of the shadows holding Victor Zsasz, asking him just how many people he’s killed. After his answer, Damian kills him on the spot, shocking his father which leads to a fight. When all is said and done, Superman saves Robin and flies off, but they are apprehended later on and sent to prison for their crimes.
