Check out the First Trailer for the Castlevania Netflix Series

It's animated! Surprise, surprise.

Back in February, Frederator Studios announced that they were bringing the Castlevania franchise to the streaming giant that is Netflix. “This is very much Castlevania done in the vein of Game of Thrones and it is going to be R-rated as f***” said series producer Adi Shankar. Well today, the first official trailer for the animated series has been released and Shankar posted a nice, heartfelt message when he uploaded the teaser to his YouTube channel. “Making this for you guys has been an absolute honor. It’s reinvigorated me creatively and has been one of the best experiences of my career.”

The last Castlevania game to release was Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 back in 2014 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Maybe this new series will bring Castlevania back into the spotlight.

Netflix’s new animated show is set to debut on Netflix on July 7 as a four-part series.
