Destiny 2 PC Version Has No Scheduled Release Date, Likely Coming After Console Launch

Destiny 2, newcomers

60fps makes it worth it though.

Destiny 2 will be made available on PC this year, but Activision has just confirmed that the PC version of the game does not have a fixed release date just yet. Speaking with Game Informer, the publisher stated that the PC version will not be releasing alongside the console versions.

‘Activision and Bungie have been discussing a September 8 release date for some weeks, but players looking forward to playing the game on PC will have to wait a little longer. An Activision representative confirmed for us today that Destiny 2 on PC does not currently have a scheduled release date, and will not release on September 8 alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.’

In related news, the game will not be available on Steam, as most might have expected. Instead, the game will launch on Blizzard’s client, and it’ll have its own client icon alongside other popular Blizzard Games like Overwatch and World of Warcraft.

Destiny 2 is set to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on September 8, and for PC at an unannounced date.
