Akuma Dominates the Fight in New Tekken 7 Gameplay Trailer

The newcomer can more than hold his own.

Tekken 7’s release is just a couple of weeks away and fighting fans will be eager to jump into the fast-paced, combo-focused action once more. Today, Bandai Namco shared a gameplay trailer showing just how powerful newcomer Akuma can be in battle.

Facing off against Devil Jin, Akuma makes fairly light work of his opponent, juggling him in the air with a powerful combo of kicks. We also get to see Akuma use his Super ability, which swiftly wipes out Devil Jin’s health bar.

For those unaware, Akuma’s cameo in Tekken 7 marks a first for the Tekken series, being the first Street Fighter character to appear in a Tekken title. His cameo in Tekken 7 will likely have players dreaming that Tekken X Street Fighter was still in active development. Alas, it’s not meant to be… for now.

Tekken 7 will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 2.
