The Legend of Heroes series has increasing popularity over the years with both the Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel sub-series finding a dedicated fan base. It’s been two years since we saw the last entry Trails in the Sky SC on PSP, and now fans won’t have to wait much longer to finish the emotional RPG trilogy. Trails in the Sky the 3rd will launch on May 3 for PC, via Steam, GOG.com, and the Humble Bundle. XSEED games announced the news today over their Twitter page.
Additionally, Trails in the Sky the 3rd will be discounted for its first week of retail. The game will be available for $29.99, but will be discounted by 10 percent.

Trails in the Sky the 3rd takes place six months after the last entry in the series, and serves as the epilogue for the trilogy. However, it doesn’t focus entirely on Estelle and Joshua like the first two games, instead casting Kevin Graham as the main protagonist along with a new character named Ries Argent. Gameplay of the 3rd remains largely the same from previous entries, with a few new additions like elemental affinities and new turn options like rush and vanish which make you take two actions in one turn and disappear for a set amount of turns respectively.
