It’s been a very long time since a core entry in this legendary JRPG series arrived, but Persona 5 is aiming to bring the franchise back with style. Set in modern day Tokyo, players assume control of a student who is gifted with the ability to control Personas, which are spirits that are physical representations of a person’s inner self. Using this power, you and your vigilante band of thieves set out to change the hearts of cruel and evil people throughout the city. While the visuals are highly stylized, much of the combat is reserved to a turn-based action system that allows for more thoughtful planning. However, there is more to Persona 5 than just obtaining new spirits and visiting the almost dreamlike worlds as Persona 5 has various activities you can take part in outside of the main missions.
