Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct announced that Lady Layton will be hitting the Nintendo 3DS and mobile platforms on July 20 in Japan. Developer Level-5 has just revealed that the game will be coming to the west on the same day as well, but only on iOS and Android devices.
According to the developer, the game will indeed be getting localized for the 3DS as well. However, the localized 3DS version of the game will only be released at a later date, and we don’t have any details on just when that will be. If you can’t wait to get your hands on a new Layton puzzle game, it might not be such a bad idea to just play the game on your smartphone after all. On the other hand, 3DS enthusiasts will have to wait a little bit longer for the game to reach the handheld console.
Lady Layton is set to be released for iOS and Android devices on July 20.
