Pass the torch.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Carrying the Blue Flame

When you reach the Hateno village in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, following the main story missions will trigger the ‘Lost Mementos’ quest step. To complete it, you’ll have to go back to the village center, find an ancient blue flame, and carry it back to the tech lab on the top of the mountain. Before setting off to grab the flame, be sure to pick up the torch next to the lab door if you don’t already have one on you.

Follow the waypoint on your map until you find the blue flame. With the torch, stand near the flame to light it. Now, all you have to do is make your way back to the lab. However, do note that you can’t sprint while holding the lit torch, or Link will put it away. If it’s raining, the flame will be put out as well, so you’ll have to wait for the rain to pass in that scenario. When you’re back at the lab, light the furnace right outside, and you’ll be done.
