Chances are, you’ve probably seen a Thunderjaw or two in Horizon Zero Dawn’s trailers. Well, we can confirm they’re just as formidable and terrifying when you come face-to-face with one in the middle of the world. However, they’re not unbeatable.

In fact, they have a massively vulnerable weak spot in their exposed hearts, but it’s tricky to hit. There’s just a small gap on the side of the Thunderjaw which gives you a clear shot at the heart. Unfortunately, Thunderjaws seldom stay still for long, so nailing the shot is tough.

Using Tearblast arrows, we ripped the Thunderjaw’s side-mounted cannons off its body and unleashed hell on its torso. Strafing around to the side, we lined up three arrows, enabled Concentration to slow down time, and lined up the shot.

Moments later, the Thunderjaw roared in pain and flopped onto its side in pain. The three arrows had pierced its heart, dealing critical damage and putting its rampage to an end. Now, you can’t say killing a T-Rex robot with three arrows to the heart at once isn’t badass, right?
