How to Get All Pets in Mass Effect: Andromeda
Exploring the vast expanses of space can be a lonely affair. Sure, you’ve got your crew with you and you can opt to engage in romantic relationships with some of them, but nothing quite beats having a pet. There are two different pets you can get in Mass Effect: Andromeda – an adorable hamster, and a monkey, otherwise known as a Pyjak. Here’s how you can get both pets in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Space Hamster
How to Get All Pets in Mass Effect: Andromeda
First off, let’s start with the hamster. This little guy will be your pet for the Tempest and is relatively easy to get. All you need to do is play through the game and make whatever decisions you’d like. The only thing you need to do here is to check out the Tempest every once in a while. Every time you do, make your way to the cargo area where you’ll find the Nomad and scan it. After a few times, you should find some crumbs on the floor, automatically activating a mission called “The Visitor.”
Now all you need to do is follow the crumbs to some crates. When you reach here, you’ll be able to craft a trap at the Research Station. Craft this, place it near the crates, and then continue saving the mankind.
After you’ve ticked off a few things from your docket, go and check on that trap you set. You should find that there’s an adorable alien hamster sitting inside. You’ll now be given the option to research it, or keep it as your pet. If you want it as a pet, pick the latter option and it’ll get its very own glass tank in your personal quarters.

If the hamster isn’t your jam, you can always grab the monkey for the Nexus in Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s worth noting that in order to get the Pyjak Monkey, you’ll need to have got it as part of the bonus DLC. Redeem the code and then head to your computer.
Check out your emails and you should have an email titled Pyjak. Reading this will activate the quest “Monkeys in Space”, now all you need to do is make your way to the Common Area of the Nexus. In here, you should find the other of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s pets in a big crate next to the merchant.
Interact with the crate and the pet will be delivered to your Tempest. The Pyjak monkey will then spend the rest of its days just chillin’ on a crate outside the Bio Lab.
