Guerrilla Games Flattered by CD Projekt’s Horizon-Witcher Mashup, Returns the Favor

Yesterday, developer CD Projekt Red posted a picture to congratulate Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn on a successful launch. However, the celebrated team also included a lovely drawing of their hero from The Witcher 3 Geralt giving Horizon: Zero Dawn’s protagonist an adorable high five. This, of course, set Twitter ablaze as the duo looks like a perfect match for being best friends since they’re accomplished fighters, are rather reserved, and have a tendency to pick fights with monsters that are the size of a car.

Today Guerrilla Games decided to continue this crossover by posting a picture on their official Twitter showing the duo getting ready for an archery challenge. While this is clearly just two developers having fun, we can only hope to get some sort of crossover between these two worlds in the future. Besides, Geralt could upgrade his sword with the metal he and Aloy hack off the robotic dinosaurs which is a win-win.

Fans of both Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3 are already asking the developers for some sort of cosmetic content to honor one another’s third person action game. Maybe we could get Aloy and a few of her friends made into a Gwent cards?
