Epic Games’ free-to-play 3D MOBA Paragon has been slowly challenging titles like SMITE. Now, they’re here to win your love with some free avatars featuring some of their popular characters. European players can grab the avatars on the PlayStation store. North America players still have to do some waiting while the store updates.
Boasting cross-platform play between PlayStation 4 and PC, sharper graphics, and a deep gameplay system Paragon has been setting itself up as a contender in the MOBA market. While it might never gain an audience as big as League of Legends or even DOTA 2, it definitely offers a different MOBA experience. Due to Epic Games’ belief in the potential of the game, they released a retail Essentials Edition of the game, containing exclusive in-game items, despite being a free-to-play game.
Since then, Paragon has continued to receive both content updates and patches to balance the game. You can download the game for free on PlayStation 4 and PC. In-game microtransactions are optional and mainly provide things like cosmetic skins.
