Developer Urges Switch Players Not to Pay High Prices for Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

The Binding of Isaac

“I don’t want you to pay more than you have to.”

The founder of developer Nicalis, Tyrone Rodriguez, has urged fans not to pay exorbitant prices for the physical version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on the Nintendo Switch.

The first batch of physical copies has obviously sold out more quickly than was expected, and there have been people posting copies on eBay for upwards of $60.00. The MSRP for the game is only $39.99.

Tyrone Rodriguez took to Twitter and said, “Please DON’T pay more than MSRP for Afterbirth+ on Nintendo Switch. While the first run is limited, it’s still available.” Rodriguez then went on to add that, “I don’t want you to pay more than you have to.”

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ was released at the beginning of this year, on Jan. 3, as an expansion to the base game – a pretty sizable one at that. It adds in a new character, 67 new items, 4 new bosses, a couple of new transformations, and plenty more besides.

It was originally set to launch alongside the Switch, before being delayed. It was released last Friday on March 17.
