Ubisoft’s snowy extreme sports game Steep is adding in a new region next week, Alaska, courtesy of some free DLC.
Ubisoft released a teaser trailer today for the Alaska update, which is set to arrive next week on Feb. 10 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The trailer was shown off on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel, and it includes a look at the landscape players will get to explore – it’s expectedly snowy and huge. Check out the teaser trailer below:
As you can see, it’s looking beautiful. According to the Ubisoft blog, along with the new map to explore, the area will be full of new events to take part in. Just last week the 1.04 update arrived, which added a host of new tweaks in response to community feedback – as well as the new Steep world tour.
It’s an intriguing game that Ubisoft seems keen to expand on. This expansion comes after the recent announcement that Steep will be heading to the Nintendo Switch.
We liked Steep, our very own Ed McGlone saying: “If you are willing to fully embrace and appreciate what makes Steep unique, namely its take on group play, the ability to create your own authentic looking videos, and freedom to explore a mountain at your own pace, your trip to the Alps will have been one worth taking.”
