Pokemon GO: How to Get Espeon

How to Get Espeon – Pokemon GO

Recommended Videos

Pokemon GO received a ton of Gen 2 Pokemon recently, adding two new Eeveelutions to the game. Umbreon and Espeon are now available to catch, the night and day versions of Eevee. If you’re interested in picking up the Psychic-type Eeveelution, here’s how to get Espeon.

Just as Pokemon GO players could force Eevee to evolve into either a Vaporeon, Flareon, or Jolteon by naming it a special name before evolution, you can get an Espeon by naming your Eevee Sakura. Simply change Eevee’s name from the Pokemon’s screen, and then use candy to begin an evolution. In a matter of seconds, you’ll have your very own Psychic Eeveelution in Pokemon GO.

In the Pokemon Gold and Silver games, Espeon would be acquired by raising your friendship level with Eevee, and then evolving it during the daytime. This Pokemon was known for its strong Psychic-type moves, including Confusion, Psybeam, and Psychic. You can check out Umbreon’s original Pokedex entries below:

Gold: It uses the fine hair that covers its body to sense air currents and predict its enemy’s actions.

Silver: By reading air currents, it can predict things such as the weather or its foe’s next move.
