Pokemon GO Eevee Trick: Sakura and Tamao

Sakura and Tamao – Pokemon GO Eevee Trick

Recommended Videos

The Eevee name tricks are back in the latest Pokemon GO update, the biggest since the mobile game’s first launch. Niantic has added 80 Gen 2 Pokemon to the game, including two new Eeveelutions. If you’re looking to get Umbreon and Espeon in Pokemon GO, you’ll need to know about Sakura and Tamao.

These are the names that will help you get the Eevee evolution you want, much as a name trick could be used to get Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. Before evolving your Eevee, name it Sakura for an Espeon, or Tamao for an Umbreon. Once you hit evolve, given you have enough candy for the act, it will turn into the proper Pokemon. Keep in mind that the Eevee name trick tends to be less reliable after the first use.

If you’re interested in the Eevee name tricks of the past, you can name your Eevee Sparky, Pyro, or Rainer before evolution in order to guarantee a Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporen, respectively.

That’s all you need to know about the Sakura and Tamao name trick. For more on Pokemon GO’s Gen 2 update, stay tuned to Twinfinite, and check out our ultimate wiki guide for more tips and tricks.
