Halo Wars 2: How To Raise Your Unit Cap During a Match

How to Raise Your Unit Cap – Halo Wars 2

Recommended Videos

Halo Wars 2 is a fast-paced RTS title that requires you to keep on your toes at all times. You’ll be building unit after unit during a match, and you’ll no doubt be reaching your unit cap before long. You’ll normally start out with 80 population points to use up, although this could change depending on how the match is set up. Luckily, there’s a way for you to raise your unit cap quite a bit in Halo Wars 2.

The first thing you need to do is construct an Armory at your base if you’re the UNSC, or a War Council if you’re the Banished. After that you need to select the Reinforcements research form the building, and once that completes, you’ll add 20 points onto your population. There’s also a Reinforcements Level II that will bump up your population 20 more, to a grant total of 120. In order to research the second level, however, you’ll have to have a level 3 base.

Reinforcements should be something that you research as early as possible, since you’ll want to put as many units on the battlefield as possible once things start to heat up. Also be aware that larger and more powerful units will take up more of your population.
