Renown – For Honor
For Honor has a lot of systems at play during a multiplayer match, especially depending on which type of game you’re playing. As you play matches of Dominion or certain Deathmatch types in For Honor you’ll earn Renown will almost every action you do. You can see the points you earn displayed in text on the left side of your screen. The amount scales depending on the action, so killing enemy grunts will net you only a couple points, while killing an enemy player with an execution will reward you with much more. You can also earn renown by capturing zones.
All the Renown points you earn compile into an overall level during the match, similar to a MOBA. This is how you’re going to unlock your Feats for use during battle. The gauge above your Feats represents your level during that match, and once it fills up you’ll unlock a Feat. This repeats four times until all of them are unlocked. Because of this you’re going to want to be taking action, killing enemies, capturing zones, and doing everything you can to earn Renown. Feats can help give you that slight advantage over the enemy, just enough to ensure victory if you use them correctly.
