Getting a physical release.
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has joined the ranks of the launch titles for the Nintendo Switch. The game’s publisher, Nicalis, has announced the game will be available to play on the platform when it’s released on March 3.
As stated on the game’s official site, the title will be available on the Switch via a physical retail release as well as a digital one. Costing $40, it will include the original Binding of Isaac, Afterbirth, and Afterbirth+.
It has also been teased that the first few thousand copies of the game will also include “something special,” but it has not yet been specified what this special something is.
Some have criticized the lineup of the Nintendo Switch to be too small, but the release of The Binding of Isaac will no doubt please a lot of fans given how popular the game has proved on other platforms. The full list of Nintendo Switch launch titles (at the time of writing) is as follows:
- The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+
- Just Dance 2017
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Skylanders: Imaginators
- Super Bomberman R
