Resident Evil 7: How to Get Secret Achievements and Trophies

Secret Achievements and Trophies – Resident Evil 7

Just like any modern release, Resident Evil 7 has a series of achievements and trophies for players to unlock as they make their way through the game. There are achievements and trophies for all kinds of different activities. From simply starting the adventure, to reading all of the documents scattered through the world, to even finishing it in under four hours.

While you can check out most of the achievements on your Xbox One or PC and trophies on your PS4, there are some secret ones you won’t be able to see. These secret achievements and trophies are, for the most part, related to story events. With that in mind, if you want to avoid any spoilers for Resident Evil 7’s story, we advise you don’t look at our explanation of these below.

This is your final warning. Proceed at your own risk!

She’s Alive (20G) – Travel to Louisiana. This is story-related and cannot be missed.

Welcome to the Family, Son (20G) – Escape from the guest house. This is story-related and cannot be missed. Once you wake up at the dinner table, this will automatically unlock.

You Ain’t Gettin’ Away (20G) – Escape to the yard. This is story-related and cannot be missed. Once you’ve got all three dog heads and unlocked the door, this secret achievement will automatically unlock.

The Grave Will Out the Truth (20G) – Uncover the secret in the old house. This is story-related and cannot be missed. This secret achievement will be unlocked as part of the story to do with the old house.

You Better Start Running (20G) – Escape from the Baker family home. This is story-related and cannot be missed. Once you’ve taken care of a particular boss at the boathouse, this secret achievement for Resident Evil 7 will automatically unlock.

Into the Depths (20G) – Escape from the Ship. This is story-related and cannot be missed. Once you’ve finally made it off that huge ship and into the swamp, this secret achievement will be added to your tally.

End of the Night (40G) – Get ending 1. This is the “good” ending in the game and requires you to save Mia after the boathouse segment. You can find out more about this decision and its ending here. You’ll have to play all the way to the end of Resident Evil 7 after making this decision to unlock this. This will likely be one of the last secret achievements you get.

Just a Memory Now (40G) – Get ending 2. This is the “bad” ending that you get from saving Zoe instead of Mia. If you want to read about this, click here. You’ll have to play all the way to the end of Resident Evil 7 after making this decision to unlock this. This will likely be one of the last secret achievements you get.

Back Off, Mrs. B! (40G) – Fight off Marguerite while she wanders the old house to make her run away. For this one, you’ll need to make Marguerite Baker run away from you as she’s naturally wandering around the house. This cannot be one of the force interactions with her, but at a moment where you could have avoided her. Unload a ton of ammo into here and this secret achievement will be yours.

Duck If You Love Life (40G) – Avoid Jack’s scissor attack by crouching. When you fight Jack in the morgue area of the house he’ll pull out these large scissors. Crouch when he does his high attack.

Fly Swatter (40G) – Shoot and knock back Marguerite while she’s leaping at you. Marguerite has a jump attack that she does in her spider form during the greenhouse encounter. Hit her with your shotgun when she leaps.
