How to Craft – Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Resident Evil 7 takes the series back to its survival horror roots, as players are forced to scrounge up resources, preserve their ammunition, and learn how to choose their battles in a world that wants them dead. One mechanic that is there to help players have exactly what they need in tight spots is the crafting system, which has you combine two items to create something actually useful.
Thankfully, crafting is actually very easy in RE7. To craft, you need both ingredients for the item you want (all recipes require only two ingredients), and a moment to breathe to get it done. Press Triangle or Y to bring up your inventory, then press R1 or RB to switch over to the Combine tab. Pick the item you want to craft, and as long as you have what you need, it will instantly be created.
Do note that bringing up this menu doesn’t pause the game. You can craft in RE7 even if you’re in the middle of battle, but you’re not free from any threats so be quick about it. It’s better that you do it in a moment of calm, such as when you’re hiding or you’ve finally taken out the enemy in your area.
