Project Octopath Traveler and Dragon Quest XI Arriving After April 2018

Project Octopath Traveler

Square Enix is gearing up to release two major role-playing games later this year – Dragon Quest XI and Project Octopath Traveler. While they’ve been keeping a pretty tight lip on their respective release dates, it seems like they’ve dropped a hint about the two games during the company’s earnings press conference.

Wall Street Journal technology reporter Takashi Mochizuki has shared the information on Twitter, claiming that Square Enix has “no big title releases” planned for January to March. That said, it’s pretty much likely that Dragon Quest XI and Project Octopath Traveler will launch after April later this year. For now, though, we’ll just to wait for further announcements on their actual release dates.

Dragon Quest XI originally launched on the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan last year and will be getting a worldwide release this 2018. Project Octopath Traveler, on the other hand, is currently being developed for the Nintendo Switch and is also slated to launch this year. Fans can download the rather lengthy demo on the eShop to learn more about its story and gameplay features.
