A Look at Hitman’s New Sapienza Bonus Mission, ‘Landslide’

Hitman is the gift that keeps on giving, it’d seem. To coincide with the physical release of Hitman – The Complete First Season, IO Interactive is dropping a brand new bonus mission on Jan. 31 called “Landslide.” Check out the trailer below.

Landslide takes place on the Sapienza map during the annual “Sapienza Festival del Paese”. Your target is Marco Abiatti, “a wealthy businessman with mafia ties turned right-wing politician, [who] has staged an early evening event near Sapienza’s beach. Agent 47 must ensure this would-be patrician does not become mayor,” the video’s description says.

It looks like the mission will present a fun twist to the popular Hitman map by focusing on two areas that haven’t seen much use in the usual Sapienza affair, the market and the beach. All players will have access to Landslide on the 31st regardless of if you’re purchasing the physical release.

Jan. 31 will also see the release of the game’s new “Professional” difficulty level, which “offers extended replayability, new game features, a separate mastery track with unique rewards, tweaked game mechanics and new AI behaviour that combine to create an entirely new experience for all players, whether they’re looking to test themselves in a more challenging environment or earn bragging rights at the top of the leaderboards, which are now separated between difficulty levels.”
