14 Million People Were All Using Steam at the Same Time this Past Week

There are dozens of us!

Over on Steam’s official statistics page, the web client has reached a new and impressive milestone. Just yesterday, the page showed that over 14 million people were all online at the same time, using Steam, doing Steam things like selling trading cards, playing games, buying games, and adding games to their wishlists. It’s clear that Valve’s service is a popular one, but the mere idea of 14 million people all being online at the same time is pretty mind-blowing. The current record sits at 14,370,167 concurrent users.

In addition to that, the statistics page also showed the most popular games by player count. Here’s the list:

1. Dota 2
2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
3. Grand Theft Auto V
4. ARK: Survival Evolved
5. Team Fortress 2
6. Garry’s Mod
7. Rocket League
8. Football Manager
9. Rust
10. Arma 3

Even after all these years, Dota 2 still reigns supreme. I wonder how Overwatch would’ve fared if it was supported by Valve’s service as well, and wasn’t just exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net platform. Are you still playing any of the games listed above? Let us know in the comments down below.
